Veterinarians in Perm were able to stop the process of tissue death in the remains of the paws of Max's dog, found by animal defenders in the thickets near the highway. Soon, skin will be grafted onto the wounds remaining from the injury, and the dog will have a chance to learn to walk again.
- Initially there was a question about amputation of paws. Necrosis, that is, the process of tissue death, was so strong that we feared for Max's life and health. But hope dies last, and we took a risk, tried to do without a complete amputation, because in this case Max could only crawl, and this is very difficult for a large dog, - said animal rights activist Semyon Filippovsky. “As a result, the doctors managed to find a therapy, relieve inflammation and stop necrosis. The remains of the paws will not be amputated.

This gave Max hope to start walking again.
- Skin will be grafted onto the wounds. The operation is scheduled for Thursday. If the healing is successful, it will be possible to make Max 3d-prostheses, - said Filippovsky. - They are made only in Novosibirsk, so we will need a person who can take Max there. If everything ends well, Max will have artificial paws that do not differ in functionality from the usual ones. He will be able to walk normally.
A crippled animal on the track was found by Maxim Sokolov from Perm. Therefore, the shepherd was named so - in honor of the savior. After publications about the injured dog, the veterinary clinic's hotline was torn apart by calls from Perm, who wanted to take Max to their place. Volunteers tried to find people who mutilated the animal, but they have not yet succeeded.
