A young Haitian woman hid her mutilated leg from prying eyes for many years. Tired of enduring the constant bullying and ridicule of others, the girl decided to become a model and destroy stereotypes of beauty.
Berlange Presilus from an early age suffers from a rare congenital vascular lesion known as the Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome. The model's right leg has prominent varicose veins and a huge dark spot.
Because of the illness in childhood, they constantly laughed at her, some angry children assured Berlange that her leg would soon die off and fall off. The Haitian woman was very complex, she never wore shorts and short skirts. "I thought my leg was the ugliest thing in the world," the model quotes swns.com.

Precilus was born in Haiti and now lives in Toronto. The young lady is a successful model. She has appeared in advertising campaigns for well-known brands such as Samsung, Mac and Johnnie Walker.
The Haitian woman is determined to change the perception of beauty. Berlange believes that people should not strive to look perfect. "The industry wants people to believe that perfection exists and if you don't look like this girl in a magazine, then you are ugly," says Bellange Presilus.
