The farewell ceremony for the former governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Mikhailov, was opened by the plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District Igor Shchegolev
As Igor Shchegolev, who had met with ex-governor Alexander Mikhailov more than once, noted, Alexander Nikolayevich was a great patriot of both the big and the small Motherland, with all his heart he cared about the welfare and prosperity of his fellow countrymen.
“Its history is the history of the modern Kursk region,” the plenipotentiary said. - He began his career as a simple worker, became the head of the Shchigrovsky district, and then headed the region for many years. At the final stage, he represented the interests of the Kurds in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly. In all posts, he very worthily fought for the interests of those with whom he needed to work and those who elected him as their leader. Thanks to his experience, he coped with very difficult problems requiring professionalism, life experience and human attitude. This man was in his place and rightfully enjoyed wide public confidence. An indicator of this is that until the very last day he worked, went about his business. He helped the smokers to solve the most pressing problems. And as is often the case with people of this kind, it was the heart that could not stand it, because the heart had the greatest load of this wonderful person.
