Girls who are fond of half-dance (pole dance) take offense when they are called strippers. Dance is related to striptease only by a pylon, which is also a pole. The revealing outfits and fluid flow of movement really make this dance sexy. But unlike striptease, where the goal is to please the client for a certain amount, half dance is an artistic genre, in some places on the verge of acrobatics, requiring good physical fitness - stretching, coordination, strong arms and back: hanging for hours on a pole, working out a number, is not easy work. The result of this work was shown by 50 girls at the "Full Moon" festival. It was attended by dancers from all over Siberia.
Poldens today is a multitude of destinations. Sports is aimed at the development of acrobatic and stunt skills, art implies performance with elements of a theatrical show, half-dance-exotic is the "hottest" dance. It includes both movements on the pole and elements of strip plastic on the floor. At the "Full Moon" most of the participants performed in this direction in several categories - from beginners to professionals.
“Five years ago, we dropped our heels. Shouted that we want to trick. Now those who played in the sports pole say: we are tired of being strongmen, tired of overdeveloped back muscles, we want to dance and be girls. And they get on their heels and start dancing,”said the organizer of the festival, Alena Bliznikova.
The event was chamber and, one might say, for our own people. Entering a semi-dark room, it was expected to see only men among the spectators. However, they were just a minority, and even those were husbands or boyfriends of the participants. Most of the audience are girls who dance. Others have come to see and show themselves.
“We compete, we look at each other, we want to grow in our skills, to be better. Today, in the category of pros, everyone is very strong, everyone claims to be the first, it will be very difficult to choose. The girls have good training, there are former dancers, gymnasts. But a high bar is good. This gives an incentive to be better,”commented dancer Kristina Yavorskaya.
The girls' performances were evaluated by professionals. The complexity of the performance, the technique and correctness of the performance of the elements, artistry, the ability to feel music, the correspondence of the image to the chosen song and many other criteria were taken into account.
Expensive hobby
Passion for something seriously always comes at a cost. Half dance is one of the most expensive hobbies if you want to perform often and effectively. It is difficult to calculate the average figure of costs, since each invests in the development of herself as much as she can. But we still tried to make an approximate estimate of the costs of participating in the festival.
So. Platform shoes and huge heels, they are strips, cost about seven thousand rubles, a suit - at least three thousand. Learning from a good choreographer also costs a lot of money. In Novosibirsk, on average, a half-dance subscription in dance studios costs about 3.5 thousand rubles. You may need additional lessons if you want to prepare well for the performance. So, for a year of preparation for the festival, a participant will spend approximately 50-60 thousand rubles.
Kristina Yavorskaya herself developed the costume design and sewed it. But she did not save on spectacular golden boots. The girl is not being shy - they cost her about 10 thousand rubles.
“I love beautiful boots, this is my weakness. But it's worth it - beautiful and spectacular,”the participant says.

In Siberia, and especially in Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk, half-dance is very developed, there are many studios in this direction and choreographers. We can say that this cultural phenomenon has already been integrated into the urban environment and has become a part of it.
When half-dance was just gaining popularity, Elena Shtalinskaya developed this direction in Novosibirsk, and now she is one of the most sought-after choreographers and part-time psychologists in Moscow. Then pole dancing was something new, and like any new product, many wanted to try it. Where did women get such a need?
“In Soviet times, people lived with the understanding that showing themselves and revealing sexuality in themselves was bad. We are a generation after, and we have a kind of rebellion about what we can - you can show this sexuality, talk about sex. And it sits inside us - we want to feel sexy and beautiful, we want to give ourselves freedom - how to move, in what suit, what to broadcast,”said Olga Panaeva, a strip-plastic teacher (Novosibirsk).

Both young girls and adult women are now fond of half-dance. Every year (not counting 2020, which was stagnant for everything), there are several competitions and festivals for dancers. The girls themselves from year to year complicate and improve their numbers.
“We have many regular clients who train for themselves, to maintain their figure, not for performances. For some, it is important just to relax after work, to communicate. Girls are very easily liberated in dancing and throw off all the negativity. A lot of people try, then throw it, because the pylon needs strength, it leaves bruises on the body. But there are no restrictions for anyone, if we are not talking about restrictions related to health. Anyone can do it,”says Evgenia Schweitser, a participant and teacher of the half-dance sport from Krasnoyarsk.

Festival results
The awards were held in 11 nominations. There were gold, silver and bronze medals in each category. But those who did not receive the award were not upset, since it was more important for each girl to participate in this beauty festival.
An unusual performance was demonstrated by Yulia Solopova from Novosibirsk. She took first place in one of the nomination.
Galina Mikhailova, a guest from Novokuznetsk, won another nomination.
Two duets were presented at the festival. The victory went to Olga Belovoshcheva and Natalia Golicheva from Omsk.
