The young woman decided to enlarge her lips. She paid 120 pounds sterling (about 10,500 rubles) for the Botox injections. As a result, she not only experienced pain from the procedure, but also remained unhappy with the result.

“This was my first time doing such a procedure and did not know what to expect after its completion. Now I urge women to think twice before agreeing to such a thing,”said Beth Craigs.

After the beauty injections were made, the patient's lips were very swollen. She felt severe pain in the jaw and generally on her face. Then the lips became "hard as concrete." The girl could not control her facial expressions.

She contacted the doctor who performed the procedure and received a recommendation: to do the massage for two weeks. She would have been glad, but the pain was so strong that there was no way to touch her lips.

Beth Craigs doubted the qualifications of the specialist who performed her procedure. She did not respond to private messages via Facebook, and then completely deleted the page and turned off the phone. The patient managed to find friends in misfortune who shared with her their stories of unsuccessful lip augmentation in the same clinic.

Dr. Steve Land, who owns Novellus Aesthetics in Newcastle, commented on the situation. He said that there are no rules governing the procedure for the introduction of fillers.

“In fact, anyone can create their own clinic,” he said.

The specialist is convinced that the problem can be solved only after government intervention.

The city council said they were aware of the situation. A special commission has been created to investigate the incident.
