Unsuccessful permanent makeup or tattooing is a common occurrence for modern girls. At least 3 out of 10 procedures fail. The editorial staff of Passion.ru decided to sort out such a delicate topic and tell you how to fix the mistakes of incompetent craftsmen.

What is the Difference Between Tattoo and Microblading

Permanent makeup and tattoo

This is a make-up tattoo: during a special cosmetic procedure, pigment is “embedded” in the upper layers of the skin. As a result, leave-in makeup is formed on the face. If the girl, after a short rehabilitation, does not like the final shape or color, the masters suggest applying a new coating on top in the hope of blocking the unsuccessful work. But as sad as it is, unfortunately, not every job can be corrected - everything is very individual and depends on how the pigment itself behaves under the skin.

Microblading

The name of the procedure is derived from two words: micro - small, blade - blade - this is a manual tattoo that creates an imitation of hairs on the skin. Thus, it is the introduction of pigment into the epidermis of the skin. It is not known how the epidermis might react to such a procedure. Professionals consider this technique to be very traumatic and unnatural, since its essence lies in the fact that you specially scratch your skin and inject paint there.

There are several types of unfortunate cases:

Unsuccessful microblading is a kind of micro-cuts, the depth of the paint application is controlled only by the hand of the master, therefore, most often it is inserted very deeply, much deeper than the usual shading. Therefore, this procedure is very often accompanied not only by unsatisfactory results, but also by scars. In addition, a fairly common side effect is a change in the color of the pigment used for eyebrow shaping to red or purple, which is unlikely to be liked by anyone. When they talk about an unsuccessful tattoo, they most often mean an old one, 10-15 years old, which was applied to a great depth and looks like a tattoo.

Regardless of the technique for performing cosmetic tattooing, be it shading, hairs or microblading, over time, eyebrows require correction. Sometimes the fashion for the shape simply changes or there is a natural fading of the pigment. And it's good if the color changes towards lightening, remaining within the original shade, or just turns gray. But it happens that the situation goes beyond what is permissible and then you can observe eyebrows of all colors of the rainbow: from lilac-blue to orange-orange, and maybe green.

During the correction of all kinds of flaws of other masters, the cosmetologist decides how he will act. There are two ways here: the first is overlapping with color, if, of course, the initial data and the shape of the eyebrows allow; the second is the removal of the old pigment, followed by overlapping and color change, if necessary.

Irina Golubeva, make-up artist: “With the help of make-up you can correct an unsuccessful tattoo. To do this, get a good foundation and thick concealer. You can apply concealer with a small brush, covering the entire brow. Sometimes it happens that the pigment in the tattoo may take on a blue tint, then you need to add a corrector with pink pigment to neutralize the unwanted color."

Today, there are two techniques for getting rid of an unsuccessful tattoo: removal with a remover (there are acid and alkaline ones) or the use of a laser. Which of the types is more productive and less traumatic is difficult to say, since it all depends on the qualifications and experience of the master who will remove the tattoo.

Benefits of Different Permanent Makeup Removal Methods

Laser removal

A more common method, the device sees almost all colors of pigments, with the exception of white, but at the same time, titanium dioxide changes its valence from four to two on the lips under the influence of plasma in an inhomogeneous medium, which may cause a black border to appear, which is no longer removed and is not covered by anything. This is especially noticeable in cases with Liplight.

For eyebrows, the laser is more suitable, since their color is dark and well removed by a neodymium laser at a wavelength of 1064 nm. In this case, the capsule with the pigment explodes from the inside, and fragments of its particles are removed with the lymph flow. The color of the permanent changes to lighter or more red.

The duration of the procedure is approximately 30 minutes. You will have to take the course - it is impossible to get rid of the tattoo at one time. The healing process lasts 1 month, then the procedure is repeated, the red-orange traces are removed with the same neodymium laser only at a wavelength of 532 nm. The number of procedures depends on the density and depth of the pigment. The most difficult to remove in the eyebrows is considered a green tint. Sometimes a technician may need up to 10 treatments and will take about a year, but the right approach can give amazing results.

Removal with a remover

In this case, mechanical crushing of the capsule occurs, followed by the pulling of the pigment to the skin surface and its removal with the crusts. Here, too, special care is needed, since there are risks of tissue scarring. This process is especially complicated when there are already microblading scars obtained by improperly performing the procedure. However, scientists are already preoccupied with the development of a new technology for ultrasonic pigment removal. This method will be safer, since it will be carried out without violating the integrity of the skin, unlike removers, and it will be better than a laser, since it will react equally to pigments of any color and even white.

Rehabilitation after tattoo correction

After the procedure, it is recommended: - In case of removing permanent eye makeup - drip decongestant eye drops.

During the healing period, it is not recommended to visit the bathhouse, sauna, swimming pool. It is undesirable to go to the gym. On the laser treated area, it is necessary to apply Celestoderm-B ointment with garamycin, as well as on the skin around the remote area - Traumeel ointment. It is necessary to treat the skin with chlorhexidine or miramistin. Avoid any kind of injury to the skin after tattoo removal.
