Celebrities have started to take photos in massive numbers in the same pose in tennis skirts and have launched a new trend. The photos posted on social networks drew the attention of The Sun journalists.
It is noted that the inspiration for such pictures was the iconic photograph of 1976 "The Tennis Player", which depicts the British woman Fiona Butler. Martin Elliott captured at that time an 18-year-old girl on the court from the back: in the picture, she is holding a racket with her right hand, and with her left she pulls up the skirt of her dress from behind, demonstrating the absence of underwear. According to the publication, posters with this photo have become one of the best-selling in the world.
For example, TV presenter Amanda Hoden, who was photographed from the back during a sporting event, took part in the flash mob. She was wearing a white T-shirt, skirt-shorts and trainers. British fashion model Rosie Wicks repeated the shot in the same outfit and matching cap. The trend was also supported by Australian professional tennis player Pat Cash, who lifted his skirt and showed his buttocks during the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
In June, tennis-style mini-skirts became a trend among movie and show business stars. For example, Elma Pazar, the star of the popular reality show Love Island, posed in a similar pink skirt with a matching crop top. Also in a similar white product were photographed American singer Tinashe and fashion blogger Lissy Roddy.
