The Mash Telegram channel reports that a 33-year-old resident of Russia named Keemya has lost 8,000 euros (at the current exchange rate, this is about 700,000 rubles). Last fall, a fan liked the page of K-pop star Kim Hyun Joon and was convinced that the profile on the social network was real. In response to this, the girl's idol wrote to her in private messages, and communication began between them.
The false star begged Keemi first for 200 euros for charity and 300 for the placement of a new track. The scammer offered the fan a meeting at a cost of 700 euros. The girl sent money, talked to the manager and waited. For the entire time of the correspondence, Keemya lost 700 thousand rubles. The meeting scheduled for January 1 never took place.
Later, the fan found out on the Internet that fake accounts were thus pulling money from gullible fans on behalf of Hyun Joon. Keemya went to the police.
