Winter is a golden time for the red carpet. In January and February, the most important ceremonies in the field of music and film are held: Golden Globes, Actors Guild Awards, Grammy Awards, BRIT Awards and Oscars. Based on their results, we have compiled a guide with trends that will be relevant for at least another year.
Lowered sleeves
Slightly bare shoulders have always been considered a model of the Victorian era, and portraits of Pre-Raphaelite artists can become the best reference for styling. On the red carpet, such sleeves look more powerful with a neckline and neckline - especially if they work in a team with light transparent fabrics.
One shoulder
The emphasis on only one shoulder is an important trend in ready-to-wear collections, couture and red carpet at the same time. Elegant dresses that are dull and dull immediately turn into trendy ones. Important: let the shoulder be the only accent in the image, beware of the neckline and necklines (unless you are Naomi Campbell).

And although we did not see frank nudity on the red carpet, the chest at the last ceremonies was the main focus of attention. Singer Halsey came to the Grammy Awards completely unbuttoned with nothing underneath; Lady Gaga went all out, appearing in a jacket with feathers that tightly covered everything except her chest; and Bella Hadid proved that a see-through outfit can look not at all vulgar.

Three-headed snakes, tigers and oriental masks are no longer just amulets brought from travel. In 2017, they are the coveted must-haves of the red carpet, especially if they are embroidered on dresses like Michelle Williams and singer Santigold.
Metallic
Minimum costs, maximum effect: sequins and metallic threads make even the simplest dress the center of attraction for spotlights and camera flashes.
Bodily
The Oscars proved that celebrities are tired of color. Therefore, the most notable outfits of the ceremony - Nicole Kidman, Isabelle Huppert, Rooney Mara, Emma Stone and Dakota Jeans - were beige. This shade has an important bonus - it suits everything as an auxiliary background: red lips, a diamond necklace and bright accessories.
Green
Still, there was a place for one color in the red carpet trendbook. This is a deep green, which is associated with another trend of the season - the eighties.
