The man admitted that from childhood he adored skulls, but was able to begin to change his appearance only after the death of his mother, since she did not approve of such radical body modifications. 22-year-old tattoo artist Kalaca Skull, née Eric Yeiner Hincapié Ramírez, had his first plastic surgery two years ago.

Since then, he has cut off most of his nose and earlobes, and cut his tongue and dyed it cadaverous gray. The skull made a tattoo of the eyes, painted over the space around them, imitating the eye sockets, and filled a tattoo in the form of a jaw on both sides of the mouth. He also shaved off his hair almost entirely to showcase the tattoos on his head.

The skull became the first person in Colombia to voluntarily remove the nose and ears. This attracted the attention of the local press and a lot of criticism. The man himself admits that he does not pay attention to her and adds that fans often take pictures with him on the streets.

The skull explained that he wished to look like a skeleton, because "this is how all people look under the skin and after death." He believes that criticizing him is foolish, "this is comparable to criticizing women who enlarge their breasts and buttocks with implants."
