The eyes are the window to the soul. But, alas, time, as well as not always the right lifestyle, does not have the best effect on this sensitive area: the skin becomes covered with a network of wrinkles, bags or dark circles appear under the eyes, and the eyelids hang over. If you have any of these problems, there is reason to think about blepharoplasty.

Blepharoplasty is an operation to lift the skin of the upper and lower eyelids.

The indications for blepharoplasty are as follows:

bags under the eyes;

excess tissue around the eyes;

desire to find a fresher and more youthful look;

mimic wrinkles and sagging skin around the eyes.

Elena Vasilieva, chief physician of the Belle Allure Beauty Institute. Dermatocosmetologist, cosmetologist. Graduated from the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. He has been practicing aesthetic medicine since 1999. In 2007, she founded the Belle Allure Beauty Institute in Moscow. At one of the congresses in Paris, I heard about Resorblift threads made of polylactic acid, realized that this novelty was a real breakthrough in cosmetology, and got the idea to bring threads to Russia. I signed a contract and made sure that this drug is absolutely necessary in our Russian market. In 2011, Resorblift threads were officially registered in the Russian Federation. At the moment, he is the head trainer of Resorblift thread lifting specialists not only in Russia and the CIS countries, but also around the world.

Not so long ago, almost the only way to radically solve these problems was to go to a plastic surgeon. However, now a lot of tools, devices and techniques have appeared that allow you not to go under the knife, but to solve the issue in a minimally invasive way. This is non-surgical blepharoplasty. There are many types of non-surgical techniques today. Here are just a few of them:

Injection;

Laser;

Ultrasonic;

Thermolifting;

Thermage.

The advantages of all these techniques (compared to surgery) are obvious. These are low trauma and minimally invasiveness, no violation of the integrity of the skin, performing the procedure on an outpatient basis, and a short rehabilitation period. But the most important thing is that there is no risk of accidental tissue displacement and, accordingly, distortion of facial features.

Of the shortcomings, one can probably name a not very long-term result: the reflection in the mirror will delight you no more than a couple of years, after which the course of procedures will have to be repeated.

Nevertheless, more and more women are choosing non-surgical blepharoplasty. Therefore, we will focus on the most effective methods known today.

Injections instead of a scalpel

Injections are considered one of the most popular types of non-surgical blepharoplasty. With this method, the necessary preparations are injected directly under the skin in the problem area. Most often containing vitamins, herbal ingredients, hyaluronic acid, amino acids and other components that have a lifting, rejuvenating effect.

Injection blepharoplasty with some drugs gives excellent results. This procedure solves several problems at once:

Relief of manifestations of puffiness and pastiness in the periorbital region;

Improving the color of the skin, reducing the severity of dark circles under the eyes;

Increased turgor and skin tone in the periorbital area;

Alignment of macro- and micro-relief of the skin;

Reducing the severity of paraorbital hernias.

“These drugs, as a rule, are a bioactive patented formula consisting of PeriOrbital Peptide XP2, Hexapeptide 17 and unstabilized hyaluronic acid of biofermentative origin in combination with vitamins, microelements, amino acids, nucleic acids,” says Doctor of Aesthetic Medicine, Chief Physician of the Moscow Institute of Beauty Belle Allure Elena Vasilieva. - I'll tell you about each ingredient.

PeriOrbital Peptide XP2tm is a highly specific ACE inhibitor: it eliminates spasm of arterioles, improves microcirculation in the dermis and subcutaneous fatty tissue; activates lymph circulation by acting on the receptors of the lymphatic vessels responsible for the movement of walls and valves, as well as for the direction of movement of lymph, eliminates pathological vasodilation of the venous system and reduces their permeability. Possesses glycation-inhibiting activity, thereby contributing to the restoration and protection of collagen and elastin fibers.

Hexapeptide 17 ™ by stimulating the opioid receptors of the lymphatic vessels causes: lymphatic drainage action, activation of the lymph circulation; anti-inflammatory effect; improves microcirculation, vasoprotection.

DRMC-complex of amino acids and vitamins and nucleosides - determines dermomodeling, revitalization, lifting.

It is advisable to take a course of procedures. The basic course is 3–6 sessions with an interval of 7–10 days. But the exact number must be determined by the cosmetologist, depending on the severity of age-related skin changes."

Injections with the help of drugs have a number of contraindications, which the cosmetologist must warn you about. It:

- acute inflammatory processes (acne, herpes) or manifestations of chronic dermatoses in the area of the proposed injection;

- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;

- autoimmune diseases and / or taking medications to correct these conditions;

- permanent implants in the area of the proposed procedure;

- pregnancy and lactation;

- under 18 years of age.

In all other cases, this technique gives excellent results. The rehabilitation period lasts only a couple of days - this is how long the edema subsides (sometimes even earlier). And right after that, you can safely go out into the light renewed: the result of injection blepharoplasty is comparable to plastic surgery. Plus a nice bonus: the processes of active skin regeneration are started in parallel.

To the device!

Non-surgical blepharoplasty of the lower or upper eyelids can be performed not only with the help of injections, but also with hardware methods. Radiofrequency rejuvenation is a minimally painful procedure with a short recovery period and high efficiency. Very good results are provided by rejuvenation equipment with a special Fractora attachment. Skin care with the Fractora attachment is the stimulation of the natural mechanisms of deep skin rejuvenation using radio frequency waves. Thanks to the needles-electrodes, the RF pulse acts to a depth of 1–3 mm, which allows you to stimulate neocollagenesis, improve skin tone and achieve a lifting effect without a surgeon's scalpel.

“Unfortunately, with age, human skin loses its ability to retain moisture inside, and this, as a result, leads to depletion of collagen, a protein responsible for the elasticity and smoothness of the skin,” explains Elena Vasilieva. - The device for skin rejuvenation with a special attachment Fractora allows, in a short time and at the same time, without any negative consequences for the body, to stimulate the natural production of collagen in the deep layers of the skin. This is what, as a result, leads to the launch of the natural process of rejuvenation.

I'll tell you a little more about the Fractora attachment. It is designed for minimally invasive facial procedures. As a result of this technique, fractional radiofrequency resurfacing, ablation, coagulation and subnecrotic heating of tissues occur. The Fractora handpiece uses bipolar RF energy through multiple needle electrodes located on two different disposable handpieces. For the treatment of the upper and lower eyelids, a tip consisting of 20 electrodes is usually used. The compact size of the handpiece allows you to treat such a delicate area as close as possible to the eyes."

The procedure is really almost painless. However, just before the procedure itself, a local anesthetic (eg EMLA 5–18%) is applied to clean skin for 30–60 minutes.

Also, before the procedure, the skin is cleansed and dried with 70% alcohol. This is necessary for the best penetration of RF energy into the skin due to the increased electrical resistance at the skin surface.

The Fractora tips are disposable and are used for only one treatment.

It should be borne in mind that sometimes during the procedure, there may be tingling sensations, and as a result, significant edema and erythema appear, as well as pinpoint mini-indentations left by the electrodes and visible on the skin surface. The swelling may persist for 3 days. But you should not be afraid: in 5-7 days it should completely pass.

After visiting a cosmetologist, you also need to adhere to a certain algorithm of actions. Cool the affected area immediately after the procedure. After 12 hours, you can begin to moisturize the skin and continue throughout the course of treatment.

Although the first results of instrumental blepharoplasty will be visible within a few days, you can truly appreciate all the delights of the technique somewhere in 3-4 weeks after the procedure. But even further, for almost four months, the process of formation of new collagen will continue. This means that, contrary to the laws of nature, you will look better and better over time!
