The civil registration authorities (ZAGS) of Moscow have dissolved the marriage between businessman Alexander Udodov and Natalya Stenina, the sister of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The spouses parted by mutual agreement, the entrepreneur himself explained. Earlier, the media reported that a businessman in Germany was suspected of money laundering.
“On December 18, the Moscow registry office considered the application filed a month ago and registered the divorce between businessman Udodov and Stenina, the sister of Prime Minister Mishustin,” a source told Interfax.
Alexander Udodov confirmed to the agency that he had divorced his wife. All property issues were settled by agreement of the parties, he added. Udodov and Stenina did not have joint children.
On December 16, Open Media reported that in Germany, since 2013, a criminal case of money laundering has been investigated against Alexander Udodov. The businessman replenished the authorized capital of the European logistics company VG Cargo through Cypriot offshores, and not by transferring from account to account. The publication wrote that Udodov could be involved in the theft of 5.2 billion rubles from the Russian budget.
In July, Alexander Udodov filed a lawsuit against politician Alexei Navalny for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation. In February 2020, Navalny's Anti-Corruption Fund published a video stating that Udodov bought five apartments in New York at the end of 2009, using several firms. The total cost of housing was $ 5.1 million.
