Moscow restaurants will be allowed to hold New Year's corporate parties until 23:00. The establishments will not work at night. Alexey Nemeryuk, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Mayor and Government of Moscow, told Rossiya 24 about this. No more than 50 people will be able to attend the event, he said.
“Corporate events can be held in all restaurants in Moscow. From tomorrow they work until 23:00, and, unfortunately, they do not work on New Year's Eve. If the corporate party takes place in the evening and ends at 23:00, then there are no problems here. There is also a requirement of Rospotrebnadzor that more than 50 people cannot be present at the same time - said Alexey Nemeryuk.
The first deputy chief of staff of the mayor and government of Moscow stressed that at night, even on New Year's, restaurants will not work.
“There will be a New Year, it will not go anywhere. It will come according to plan on December 31, but in a more modest format - probably all restaurants will not work. We have warned all businessmen in advance. It will be possible to celebrate the New Year on December 31 and January 1, but not at night. - added the head of the department of trade and services.
Nemeryuk also noted that there is no talk of a complete lockdown of the restaurant business "yet."
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called on Muscovites to spend New Year's Eve with their families at the hearth. The mayor noted that bans on mass events do not restrict the movement of residents of the capital, and called them unpleasant, but necessary. According to him, organizing any events in the current situation is akin to "a feast during the plague."
