The website of the British online retailer Asos has a photo of a model who advertised a swimsuit in an unsuccessful pose, writes the Daily Mail.

The girl in the picture sits, slightly hunched over, sideways to the camera in a pale lilac bikini from the Monki brand. Several folds of fat are visible on her belly.

Customers of Asos were delighted with the "body positivity" of the company and thanked the photographers on social networks.

“Thank you Asos for this perspective,” Twitter users wrote.

“A woman with a truly healthy body is crazy,” others noted in the comments.

“The fact that a slender girl has these folds indicates a lack of diversification in the fashion industry,” said another.

Asos stopped retouching the bodies of its models in 2017. Many fashion brands have since followed suit. To date, major companies such as H&M, Misguided and BooHoo have abandoned Photoshop.

In July last year, Swedish clothing brand H&M became the first popular mass-market manufacturer to not retouch the bodies of models in advertising shots. The photographers left stretch marks on the thighs and hair on the arms of the girls showing the swimwear.
