Annaliese Fox, 20, from Australia, damaged scalp tissue by lightening her dark hair at home. The paint that the girl used cost six pounds (503 rubles).
Fox was admitted to the hospital that evening, where she was diagnosed with a first-degree burn. However, after the doctors sent photos of the injury to the severe burn department, it turned out that the girl had received a "powerful third-degree burn." The victim complained that she might have to undergo a skin graft at the back of her head.
After the incident, Fox shared photos of her burned skin on Facebook and stated that it was the biggest mistake of her life. “I wrapped my bleached hair in thermal film and went to the supermarket for another box of paint because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough. My head started to burn, and I hurried home to wash off the paint in the shower,”she said on the social network.
Fox warns other women to be careful not to skimp on paint choices. “I know that many people dye their hair at home and can repeat my mistake. I also understand that it was a stupid decision,”she cautions.
In November, 26-year-old Eden Gilliam from Tennessee also decided to dye her hair blonde. As a result of unsuccessful dyeing, which the American carried out at home, she lost part of her hair. The woman advised not to save on her transformation and go to beauty salons.
