Thanks to the new equipment, the Tyumen Regional Ophthalmological Dispensary will be able to carry out 300 more operations per year.
The institution received the latest operating and diagnostic equipment within the framework of the Healthcare national project, which made it possible to divide patient flows and improve the quality of diagnostics.
The new equipment has been installed in the surgical department and diagnostic rooms for use in pre-hospital appointments and postoperative examinations. These are slit lamps - one of the main instruments of an ophthalmologist, non-contact tonometers for measuring intraocular pressure, as well as a refractometer for measuring the refractive power of the optical system of the eye, - the press service of the Regional Ophthalmological Dispensary told the Ural Meridian news agency.
As told by the acting. chief physician of GAUZ TO "Regional Ophthalmological Dispensary", ophthalmologist of the highest category, surgeon Leonid Protopopov, the institution used the period of self-isolation in order to improve the work of the dispensary and improve the quality of ophthalmological care.
By redeploying the offices, it was possible to free up space, equip a new operating room, install an operating table and purchase a new microscope of the latest generation.
The equipment arrived at the Regional Ophthalmological Dispensary at the end of September. Diagnostic and surgical systems are distributed among the departments of the dispensary. They are currently being used for patients.
The received equipment is the most modern to date, it helps surgeons make high-quality diagnoses, promptly refer patients for treatment and increase comfort during the operation.
As the head of the surgical department, ophthalmologist of the highest category, surgeon of GAUZ TO "Regional ophthalmologic dispensary" Andrey Makarov, the new operating microscope has better light and visualization. It is equipped with a good monitor, a camera is installed inside that displays an HD image on the monitor. Thus, all participants in the process can control the progress of the operation. The new equipment makes it possible to carry out the entire range of ophthalmosurgery. All operations are performed in the dispensary in the format of "one day surgery", that is, on an outpatient basis.
Also, the new equipment will strengthen the work on the training of young personnel. Novice doctors can observe the progress of operations not only through monitors - the microscope is equipped with an assistant eyepiece. This allows operations to be carried out in conjunction with assistants and young surgeons.
