President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy tested positive for coronavirus. The Ukrainian leader announced that he had become infected on Facebook.
“I have a [temperature] 37.5, and I wish everyone 36.6! I feel good,”he said.
The head of state added that he was going to continue fulfilling his duties in self-isolation. “Most have overcome COVID-2019. I can do it too,”Zelensky added.
In recent weeks, Ukraine has seen a rapid increase in the number of infected. The emergency mode will operate until the end of the year. On November 5, another anti-record was set in the country - 9,850 people were diagnosed with COVID-2019 per day. At the same time, the number of those who recovered began to grow. On the same day, November 5, the Ministry of Health recorded a record 8378 discharged patients.
Now Ukraine is divided into four types of quarantine zones, depending on the severity of the epidemiological situation. The authorities are considering the introduction of additional restrictions to the existing ones. In particular, we can talk about a weekend quarantine. “We cannot introduce a full lockdown, which Europe went to,” explained the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov.
