A haircut

It is believed to strengthen hair and make it grow faster. This is not true. Hair on the head grows by an average of 1.5 centimeters per month. They usually grow faster in summer and slower in winter. But to improve the condition of the hair, you need to take vitamins, make special masks, use special shampoos and balms. A haircut won't help here. Another thing is that after it a person, as a rule, feels more cheerful and energetic. However, this has nothing to do with the hair itself.

Frequent and improper combing

Although combed hair looks more beautiful and neat, brushing often results in split ends and hair loss. Therefore, do not brush your hair too often.

You also need to learn how to comb your hair correctly. First, it must be done in smooth movements, starting from the tips and gradually moving upward. Secondly, it is better not to use combs and brushes with hard teeth or bristles - this will only harm your hair.

Rare wash

“The fashion for dry shampoos and co-washing have done their job - today many girls are absolutely sure that the less often they wash their hair, the less it gets dirty,” says stylist Irina Zhokhova. But everything is individual, she adds. Someone washes their hair only once a week and their hair looks well-groomed. And for someone, just a day after washing, their hair is "none." According to Irina Zhokhova, washing too rarely leads to clogging of the follicles and pores of the scalp, the hair becomes brittle and easily falls out. Add to this the appearance of itching and dandruff.

“Dirty hair falls out much more strongly than clean hair,” says Marina Papoyan, a trichologist and employee of the Beauty Institute. “So doctors advise to wash your hair as often as your hair requires.”

Improper washing

Many people wash their hair in the following way: they apply shampoo once and wash off. Everything. In fact, experts say, shampooing your hair for the first time removes only the top layer of impurities. But with the second wash, the skin is cleansed from keratinized particles. Shampoo your hair twice. But even before applying the shampoo, it is necessary to moisten the hair abundantly with water, then the detergent will foam better and be evenly distributed along the entire length.

Do not wash your hair with too hot water. The fact is that boiling water stimulates the work of the sebaceous glands and the head quickly becomes dirty. You need to use not hot, but warm water. This is enough to soften the skin and remove impurities. Finally, you can rinse your hair with cool water: a slight temperature difference will improve blood circulation and make your hair shinier.

It is also important to thoroughly remove excess shampoo from the hair during the washing process. The detergent left on your hair will do you a disservice: after a few hours, your hair may look dirty again and dandruff will show up in it.

Improper use of masks and conditioners

Women often apply masks and conditioners to their hair immediately after washing. However, water prevents nutrients from penetrating the hair structure. Therefore, the maximum effect from the use of these funds will not be achieved. After washing, you must first dry your hair with a towel, and then apply the product along the entire length, but do not rub it into the scalp.

Incorrect hair drying

Most women start blow-drying their hair immediately after washing. But for the best result, you must first blot them with a towel, and then let them dry naturally for a few minutes. Do not blow dry your hair - this is for styling only. To simply dry your hair, you need warm air. Use the appropriate temperature setting in your hair dryer.

Pulling out gray hair

Sometimes you have to hear the advice to pull out the gray hair that has appeared - they say, then hair of a normal, natural color will grow in their place.

The only reason to pull out gray hair is for cosmetic reasons. It makes sense to do this if you do not want the gray hair to be visible.

Most of the hair turns gray with age. But it also depends on genetics. In some, gray hair appears at 20, while in others, even at 60, gray hair is not visible at all. It is also believed that a person can turn gray, for example, due to stress, but doctors still consider this statement controversial.
