The girl has been suffering from acne since the age of 9 - but she accepted herself and uploads honest selfies

Kidman's screen rival in life turned out to be a very simple girl who tries to conduct an honest and frank dialogue with her audience. So, summing up the results of the year, the performer of the role of Elena opened up about the difficulties she had to face lately.

It turned out that the actress, whose main professional tool is her appearance, has long been suffering from severe acne. Matilda took an honest, no-makeup selfie that especially shows how badly her face is affected by acne.

In a caption to the publication, De Angelis made an unexpected confession about how health problems affect her self-esteem and professional performance.

“In this difficult year, we have all faced things that we cannot control. There are challenges that we simply must accept. It so happens that my face is gradually "destroying" a severe form of acne, and this is my personal challenge, which is not easy to accept. Every morning, before being in front of the camera, I have to spend a lot of time in front of a mirror to hide the marks of acne on my face. It is especially difficult to gather strength and be a self-confident actress when you are constantly afraid that the world will find out about your imperfection. I understand that the world has much more problems than mine, but it was important for me to share this secret with you in order to become stronger and, perhaps, learn to accept myself for who I am,”wrote Matilda.

At the end of her address, the actress made an encouraging conclusion. “Our fears can both paralyze us and become our main driving force. In addition, they teach us to appreciate more the good that happens to us and, perhaps, even look at the bad in a different way,”concluded the star.
