Multistage system
Cleansing in several stages is the most popular trend that came from South Korea, where the cult of beautiful skin reigns. We, like most European women, think that cleansing your skin means washing off your makeup. But pollution is superficial (cosmetics, dust, dirt) and deep (sebum). Make-up removers do not deal with deep dirt. Scrubbing once a week is also not enough for this purpose. L'Oréal Paris experts have adapted Korean cleansing systems from 4-5 stages and proposed a universal complex: milk or gel (depending on whether you wash with water or without), micellar water and tonic. The secret of Korean women's radiant skin is not only in the amount of products: the last stages of cleansing are the first stages of treatment. For example, a tonic (aka toner) not only removes makeup residues, but also prepares the skin for the application of serum and cream. “Cleansers need to maintain the skin's pH balance, barrier function and optimal hydration levels,” says Elisabeth Bouadana, director of scientific communications at L'Oréal Paris. “That is why we have carefully selected the caring ingredients for the new line. Rose extract - the strongest antioxidant - accelerates the skin regeneration process. Jasmine extract tones and soothes the skin prone to irritation."
Oils
Hello again from Asia. To rinse thick BB creams in one stroke, Asians have come up with special cleansing oils. Manufacturers of European cosmetics adopted the experience and developed dozens of variations on the oil theme: original hydrophilic oils and hybrids (for example, gel-oil), oil-based make-up removers for dry and oily skin. Oils of a wide variety of plants are used as the main components: from sesame seeds to evening primrose. All such products are good at removing decorative cosmetics and do not dry out the skin. If no other method of application is written on the package, then the oil should be applied to a dry face with your fingers, massage a little, add a small amount of water, continuing to massage. On contact with water, the oil emulsifies and effectively dissolves even long-lasting foundations. Then rinse off the residue with water. It is a mistake to think that oily cleansers are only suitable for dry skin. Properly selected oil can normalize sebum secretion.
Micellar remedies
Micelles - surface-cleaning agents (surfactants) - attract dirt like magnets. But micelles can remain on the skin and cause irritation - that is why cosmetologists do not recommend cleaning the face with micellar water every day. In addition, not everyone is satisfied with the super-light consistency of water. Therefore, manufacturers have come up with the idea of adding micelles to other cleansing products. This is how micellar gels and milk appeared. Nothing has changed in the technique of use, but these products remove dirt easier and faster.
Powder
Cleansing powders are based on the same surfactants that are used in cleansing gels, but in powder form. Plus, they often include natural cleansers like Dior powder, which contains crushed lotus seeds. The invention is not new, but undeservedly forgotten. It is enough to dilute the powder with a small amount of water or sprinkle it on a damp palm and foam it to turn into a delicate cream or foam. The powder is suitable for all skin types: it cleans oily skin well and does not dry out dry skin. And also the cleansing powder is a godsend for travelers, because you can safely take it with you on the plane, and not check it in your luggage. And do not be afraid that the product will accidentally spill on the road.
