In the Penza region, since the beginning of the pandemic as of October 26, 170 deaths have been confirmed from the consequences of coronavirus infections. Over the past day, two more women have died. This was reported by the head of the press service of the governor Dina Cheremushkina.

The first victim is a 52-year-old woman. The patient suffered from several concomitant diseases: type 2 diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis of the aorta, coronary, cerebral arteries, arterial hypertension, obesity of the 2nd degree.

The second is a 65-year-old woman. Her treatment was complicated by atherosclerosis of the aorta, coronary, cerebral arteries, chronic ischemic heart disease, atherosclerotic cardiosclerosis.

The cause of death in both cases is coronavirus infection, complication is bilateral subtotal pneumonia.

As IA REGNUM reported earlier, the number of hospital beds and the number of working doctors in call centers are going to increase in the Penza region. The corresponding instruction was given on October 23 by Governor Ivan Belozertsev at a meeting with the head of the regional health ministry Alexander Nikishin.
