The girl did not work in the main modeling agency of those years - Red Stars, and in 1996 she decided to compete for the victory in the Miss Russia contest. Svetlana reached the final, and although the crown went to another, she was noticed. Job offers started pouring in, many new plans, colleagues, friends, parties appeared.
So, shortly before the new 1997, in one of the capital's clubs, she met Alexander Solonik, who was nicknamed Sasha the Macedonian for his ability to shoot with two hands, in Macedonian. He was a very well-aimed marksman and was considered the 1st hitman in the country. Knowledgeable people say that, in fact, he did not shoot with two hands, he just tried it once, and the nickname stuck.
The relationship developed rapidly, and a month later Sveta, together with Solonik, went to Greece, where he rented a villa. From there, the girl called her mother every day, telling her that she would go to Italy for another competition. But one day I forgot to call. Mom did not wait for the call the next day.
Meanwhile, in Greece, the body of the strangled Alexander Solonik was found, he was quickly identified and buried in one of the Greek cemeteries. The girl disappeared without a trace.
Three months later, one of the local residents was walking his dog in a nearby forest. The dog began to dig persistently under the tree, and people who got to the bottom of the suitcase also got involved. The remains of Svetlana Kotova were found in the suitcase. The girl who witnessed the crime was killed, dismembered and taken out in the same suitcase with which she was going to Italy.

But she also failed to stay alive. Four years later, two days before her twentieth birthday, she was accidentally killed when they shot at her companion Konstantin Chuvilin, a well-known businessman in Cheboksary, and his friend Radik Akhmetov. The killers have not been found so far.
