The French perfume house Guerlain has released a new limited edition version of its bestseller - Habit Rouge eau de parfum for men (1965). This was reported to "Lente.ru" by a representative of the press service of the brand on Thursday, November 16.

This is the first ever oriental woody-spicy scent in the history of the house built on a hesperidic accord of citrus: orange, regular and sweet lemon and bergamot, combined with spices and an overdose of Madagascar vanilla. The accord opens with woody tones and notes of patchouli and leather.

In its next limited edition, the Habit Rouge is offered in a 100 ml dark glass bottle with a geometric red pattern and a red cap. Eau de parfum will go on sale in Russia in December. 80 bottles will be presented at the price of 7,900 rubles per bottle.

Earlier it was reported that Guerlain, together with the Japanese porcelain manufactory Arita Porcelain Lab, released a new version of the Fall Flower fragrance in a replica of a historic 1912 bottle. The bottle is made of porcelain with hand-painted flowers on a white background and a cork in the shape of a half-opened rose.

Guerlain is one of the world's oldest perfume houses, founded in 1828 by Pierre François Pascal Guerlain. The first Guerlain fragrance for women was called Esprit de Fleurs; Pascal Guerlain created it in 1829 for his wife. The first men's fragrance was the Imperiale cologne, created in the 19th century especially for the Emperor of France Napoleon III. Since its foundation, the perfume house has created several hundred fragrances. Since 1994, the rights to use the brand have belonged to the LVMH corporation.
