After two years of proceedings - from 2018 to 2019 - Vladimir businessman Pyotr Melnikov was extradited to Russia. “In order to conceal the criminal scheme between organizations controlled by the members of the criminal group, a transit transfer of funds was carried out on fictitious transactions indicated in payment documents for cashing through the accounts of legal entities and individuals. The criminal scheme was used by Melnikov and other members of the criminal group to conceal the illegal activities of persons who used the services of cashing out funds, minus the total amount from 2.2 to 3%,”the Prosecutor General's Office explains.

Pyotr Melnikov is the son of Alexey Melnikov, former director of the Avtopribor plant in Vladimir, and Svetlana Melnikova, general director of the Vladimir-Suzdal State Museum-Reserve. Alexey Melnikov is known in the region not only as the only former owner of Avtopribor, but also as a person involved in a criminal case. Several years ago he was charged with five economic crimes. Later, in part of the episodes he was acquitted, in two - on fraud and large embezzlement - he was found guilty, writes Zebra-TV.

Svetlana Melnikova has been in charge of the SCM for a total of about 8 years. At first, she held a leadership position from 2010 to 2016, and then she was sent to a museum in Crimea. She returned to the Vladimir Museum in 2018. It is also known that in different years Melnikova was the founder of several dozen organizations. In the region, she is considered a rather influential person.
