MOSCOW, November 3. / TASS /. Special modules for measuring temperature and disinfection were installed in front of the plenary hall of the Federation Council. This was announced by the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, opening the next plenary session of the upper house of parliament on Wednesday.
She noted that the senators present in the hall are wearing masks and gloves, "everyone is safe and sound," and thanked the parliamentarians for observing sanitary and epidemiological requirements.
"As you have noticed, in front of the meeting room on the second and third floors, special modules are installed for measuring temperature and disinfection," Matvienko noted, thanking Sergei Mitin, a member of the Council of Federation from the Novgorod region, for the relevant initiative.
"We care about your health, I ask you not to relax and keep in mind that all the necessary [sanitary and epidemiological] requirements must be observed," she addressed the senators.
On Monday, Vyacheslav Timchenko, the head of the Federation Council Committee on the Rules and Organization of Parliamentary Activities, told TASS that according to the results of a study conducted before the plenary meeting of the Federation Council, one senator tested positive for coronavirus.
