President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said about the intercepted conversation of Belarusian oppositionists who left the country. According to him, ex-presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya admitted that she does not solve anything. The head of the republic also called the leader of the opposition and its supporters "suckers".

"Recently we intercepted a conference of these" suckers " - Tikhanovskaya, all these runaways (Belarusian oppositionists) - they are holding a closed press conference. And what amazed me when they put the printout on the table. Svetlana says: "Guys, what are you asking of me, you understand that I am not deciding anything." Quote. "I don't decide anything" - our president in Lithuania (she stated) », - said Lukashenka.

According to the head of the republic, Tikhanovskaya is “kept” in Lithuania, since the West really needs a person like her. "And who is more?" - said the President of Belarus.

Earlier, Lukashenka said that he would not be president under the new Constitution. He stressed that the Basic Law of the Republic "does not do it for itself." The head of state also believes that the opposition is in favor of a military solution to the crisis in Belarus.

“I don’t make any Constitution for myself. I will not work with you as president with the new Constitution. So take it easy, bear it calmly. , - BelTA quotes the words of the Belarusian leader.

On November 24, the President of Belarus announced that Western countries want to change their power in Belarus and would like to do it with the help of Russia. In his opinion, the West does not know how to involve the Russian Federation in the process of changing the head of a neighboring state, and is sponsoring the protest movement. Lukashenka also warned that he would leave the post only at the request of the Belarusian people.

Elections for the head of state were held in Belarus on August 9. The CEC declared Lukashenka the winner. The opposition disagreed with the results. After the vote, protests began in the country, which continue to this day. In connection with the rejection of the election results, the European Union officially imposed sanctions against the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, his eldest son Viktor and 13 Belarusian officials. Restrictions include a travel ban on the EU and an asset freeze on its territory.
