Yelin admitted that she has been actively involved in sports for 30 years. Most of all she likes to swim in open reservoirs: the woman does not give up this activity even in winter.
Yelin swam across the 40-kilometer Malaakk Strait, jumped from a parachute from a height of 4.5 kilometers and did yoga in 30-degree frost. Recently, Yelin, a retired librarian and now a popular blogger, is learning freediving on Philippine beaches. “I have always loved the sea and can scuba dive, but now I have challenged myself. I want to dive as deep as possible without any equipment,”she said. The woman admitted that the new occupation is not easy for her: it turned out to be "unbearably painful" not to breathe under water for three minutes.
Business partner Yelin Tegan Shi believes that women are changing the standards of female beauty in China: “Previously, white-skinned, modest and weak women were considered beautiful, but Yelin is gradually destroying stereotypes. She is brave, not afraid to try something new, I admire her courage."
Yelin jokingly calls his main goals in life "to travel around the world and wear beautiful swimwear." She hopes to maintain her appearance until she is 80. Her 23-year-old son noted that it is not easy for him to find a girlfriend, since everyone takes his mother for his girlfriend.
