Last week, a decrease in the incidence of coronavirus infection was recorded in Moscow, the detection rate of infected people decreased by 30%, the number of free infectious beds in city medical institutions is about 40%, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. “In terms of detectability, a decrease of 30 percent compared to what it was before the New Year. Hospitalization has decreased by 18%, which is also a very important factor that allows to relieve the bed network. Today, the number of free beds is about 40%, that is, a powerful reserve so that we feel confident in the coming weeks and months,”Sobyanin said during the coordination council under the government of the Russian Federation on combating coronavirus infection. He added that one of the most painful restrictive measures was the transfer of students to distance learning. As of today, these restrictions have been lifted. “Despite the positive dynamics, risks remain, we need to maintain the established requirements, monitor the situation on a daily basis, watch how it develops further,” the mayor said. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 898,442 cases of Covid-19 have been identified in the capital, 12,625 cases have died, and 747,881 patients have been cured by doctors.
