Some say that foundations supposedly protect the skin from dust, dirt and the sun, rejuvenate and moisturize. But this is nonsense! I'm sure marketers come up with such stories for the sake of profit - to increase sales.

Personally, I am for healthy skin, it is better to take care of myself and make sure that there are no rashes and acne, than then try to hide it all. Still, we have to admit that foundation and healthy skin are incompatible.

Of course, there are situations when we need to look perfect: weddings, social events and other holidays, and just attacks of perfectionism. And I personally also resort to using foundation (I confess, I have only two of them), but only in exceptional cases. Daily use of such products is inappropriate for me, as well as wearing evening dresses to the office. If you are not ready for this, then try to at least minimize their use, it is important to give your skin freedom, let it breathe.

Or find an alternative - now there are BB, CC, and toning moisturizers. They have lighter textures, and they do not lie in a dense mask on the face, that is, you can hide some imperfections and at the same time, you will not block oxygen for your skin. Also, do not forget that such products must be selected according to the type of skin: with dry, you need products that contain aloe or hyaluronic acid, with oily - zinc, vitamins A and B.

Another important point - if you still can't refuse foundation, as you are ashamed of your little flaws, like Kendall Jenner (21), who constantly carefully hides her small and not so flaws with the help of cosmetics, then do not forget to wash brushes and sponges with which you apply it!

Recently, the media discussed a rather sad story of a 21-year-old girl Katie Wright from Austin, Texas (USA), who squeezed out a pimple, and then tried to “hide” the whole thing under a foundation. As a result, the next day after all these manipulations, half of her face literally swelled, and a huge inflammation appeared in the place of a small pimple - a wound that did not even think to heal! At the hospital, doctors told her that she had a serious staphylococcal infection! If the doctors did not solve the problem in time, no one knows how it could have ended: at best, loss of vision, at worst, death.

What does this story tell us? The fact that masking acne is not only ugly and always noticeable, but also very dangerous. Any cosmetologist will say that acne is an inflammatory process and in no case (!) Should be covered with foundation! But, if you still (despite all the warnings and common sense) want to do this, then at least use clean brushes and sponges - they need to be cleaned regularly, otherwise you risk turning all these beauty items into a breeding ground for bacteria, which sooner or late with pleasure to settle on your face!

If you need an example to follow, then I can say that there are stars that do not mask acne (thereby do not provoke the appearance of new ones). For example, actress Bella Thorne (19) and model Chrissy Teigen (31) openly publish their photos on the Web without makeup or processing.

Also, singer Katy Perry (32) and actress Kaley Cuoco (31) spoke openly about their problem with rashes, they were able to cope with this scourge without foundation, which means that you can too!
