The Qatari authorities have expressed regret over the violation of personal freedoms of airport passengers in the capital, Doha, due to the examination of women by gynecologists in an attempt to find a woman who left a child at the airport. RIA Novosti reports. Earlier in the media, information appeared that a woman was looking for in Qatar, who in early October left a newborn baby at Doha International Airport named after Hamad and fled. After this incident, relations between Qatar and Australia escalated, passengers on a flight from Doha to Sydney said that without their consent they were forcibly examined by gynecologists in an ambulance near the airport. Women who flew from Qatar in other directions also admitted this. "While the purpose of the urgent inspection was to prevent the perpetrators of the gruesome crime from escaping, Qatar regrets the inconvenience or violation of any passenger's personal freedoms caused by this action," the Qatari government said in a statement. The country's leadership called for a transparent and comprehensive investigation into the incident. It is also noted that such an incident with a newborn child found in a similar state at the Doha airport happened for the first time.
