Hunterton won the Miss Nevada title in 2004. She now works as the CEO of an organization that organizes such events. Elizabeth grew up in Reno, always knew that she was adopted, and all her youth believed: she was a missing princess from the royal family.

The truth turned out to be sad: the girl was found by two pilots at a Nevada airport in January 1980. “I was about ten days old,” she clarified. “All my life I tried to understand what I did in the first week of my life, so that in the end, real parents would say:“Let's just leave her at the airport.” Despite growing up in a loving family, Hunterton spent years looking for her biological mother.

Mother of many children defeated cancer and became a beauty queen

The beauty queen was fired from her job at the hospital for being too attractive

She was tracked down in August 2020 thanks to a DNA database. “I was prepared to be rejected by both my biological father and my biological mother. But in the end, everything happened in a way I could not imagine,”she describes the excitement.

The 41-year-old woman learned that her father died in 2004 without even knowing she was born. After finding her mother, the beauty queen figured out her true story. Her father was African American and her mother was Japanese. The couple met at the Fort Ord military base, and she was born in a hospital in California. The mother gave her daughter to her roommate because she could not take care of her. She had to take her to the adoption agency.

“It is a great blessing to know what a strong and wonderful woman she is. One day, when we’re all a little better, I hope we can meet,”said her 65-year-old mother, who did not want to give her name.
