LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky said on YouTube that he did not understand why the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov demanded that the politician apologize. According to Zhirinovsky, all his statements about regional leaders and their right to speak out on foreign policy topics did not refer specifically to Kadyrov.

«I didn’t have any conversations with him, I spoke about the situation in Turkey, in Karabakh, and I didn’t talk about anything with him, this is a misunderstanding … I didn’t understand anything, I didn’t turn to anyone with anything, they asked me, Why did someone say something there, I said that the topic of religion should not be touched, as well as nationality. He did not mention Kadyrov at all … Why he takes it upon himself is not clear», - said Zhirinovsky.

The Liberal Democratic leader was also surprised by harsh statements about the sale of parliamentary seats by his party, which Kadyrov accused him of.

On October 31, Kadyrov demanded that Zhirinovsky apologize. The leader of Chechnya wrote in his Telegram channel that Zhirinovsky cannot be considered a cultured person, and all his arguments, including about religion, do not stand up to criticism. «PUst participates in talk shows, spends his money received from the mandates sold before the elections, promotes himself, has fun and gets high, develops bills … But don't mention religion, Zhirinovsky. Religion and culture - concepts that do not match with you , - wrote in particular Kadyrov.

Earlier, Zhirinovsky said that regional leaders have no right to comment "in support of terrorist actions, even if these comments are due to something." He also urged to check all schools in Russia that teach religion, as well as to establish surveillance of those Russians who often travel to the Middle East.

On the evening of October 16, a teacher was beheaded in Conflans-Saint-Honorine, France for showing anti-Islamic cartoons from Charlie Hebdo during a free speech lesson. After the incident, Macron said that the teacher was killed "because the Islamists want to take our future." He also said that Islam all over the world is currently in crisis.

Macron's statements have sparked strong reactions in countries where Muslims live. Thus, in Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan advised Macron to "heal the psyche." The French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo has published a cartoon of Erdogan. Turkish law enforcement agencies have opened a case against the magazine. On October 27, the Mufti of Chechnya Salakh-Khadzhi Mezhiev announced that French President Emmanuel Macron had become "the number one terrorist in the world." The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, later noted that he supports Mezhiev's position.
