According to Zhirinovsky, all his statements about regional leaders and their right to speak out on foreign policy topics did not refer specifically to Kadyrov.

The Liberal Democratic leader was also surprised by harsh statements about the sale of parliamentary seats by his party, which Kadyrov accused him of.
On October 31, Kadyrov demanded that Zhirinovsky apologize. Earlier, Zhirinovsky said that regional leaders have no right to comment "in support of terrorist actions, even if these comments are due to something."
