French shoe designer Christian Louboutin pointed out the main beauty mistake of Russian women, and also found a difference between modern Muscovites and the women he met in the capital during a previous visit. The fashion designer is sure that one of the main features of the appearance of Russian women is radiant skin. “15 years ago, you applied too much make-up. Now it is different: you use makeup, paint your eyes, but not so much. They [women] make up their eyes and lips, but the skin remains beautiful and clean. This is the difference,”reasoned Louboutin.
Then he remembered how he met a young girl, but there was so much makeup on her face that he could not determine her age. “Perhaps you are protecting the skin in this way, but because of this, the radiance disappears,” the designer was indignant.
In the same interview, Christian Louboutin explained why Russian women like to walk in heels. In his opinion, high heels become a tool of confidence, and for some, a tool of strength.
In April 2019, the designer came to Moscow 15 years after his previous visit to take part in the restoration of costumes for the Bolshoi Theater. Christian Louboutin founded the shoe brand of the same name in 1992. Swarovski crystals, lace and exotic leather are used in the design of shoes and accessories. The first boutique of the company was opened in Moscow in 2003.
