Recently, the developers of the multiplayer third-person shooter Rogue Company held an AMA session on Reddit, during which they answered many user questions. Will there be skins for character mastery?

HirezScott: We are working on adding future skill rewards for agents. In our next update, we will add 3 new Gamertag IDs. However, there is still no exact timeline for the rest of the cosmetic lineup of Mastery agents.

We are also working on a weapon mastery system and events that we hope to launch this year, which will provide additional opportunities to earn free cosmetics.

Are there any plans to improve map rotation? Yesterday in five matches I hit Lockdown twice and then Vice 3 times. Have you thought about implementing a voting system like Halo?

ScottGandhii: Our development team takes map rotation very seriously. We are actively exploring ways to improve this system at Rogue Company. First and foremost, we will continue to add more cards to our game, which will reduce the likelihood of the same appearing multiple times in a row.

Further, it is imperative that our existing maps meet player expectations. We will continue to make improvements to improve your experience.

HiRezBart: A good idea. We will hand it over to our UX team, which is responsible for visual communication.

How many agents are you planning to add?

HiRezBart: Yes.

When will we be able to see U / C and more stats like win-loss rates?

ScottGandhii: There is no exact date. We love the idea of giving players access to more detailed stats, but it all comes down to prioritizing. Ranks are more important for the team now, further improvement of the agent mastery system, weapon mastery, time modes, new agents, and much more.

Should we wait for seasonal / holiday skins (for example, for Dima on Halloween or Phantom in Christmas style)?

ScottGandhii: This year we will be hosting a small Halloween event featuring a timed mode and an achievement that rewards users for completing it. In the future, we will begin to conduct more complex events within the framework of these holidays.

When the current roadmap ends, are you planning to make another one? Or do you just want to release new agents and maps, as they do in other games?

HiRezRadar: We were big fans of the Roadmap and let everyone know what the team was focusing on and what would happen next. We really want to continue this business after the end of the current roadmap.

When will we see more Legendary Skins or Shop Item Refresh Counter? I would like to see the legendary for Glitch

ScottGandhii: More Legendary Skins Coming Soon! The item refresh counter for the store is a great idea that I will pass on to the UX team. Thanks for the feedback.

Can you tell me how often you guys plan on releasing new agents?

ScottGandhii: There is no exact timeline, but our goal is to release eight agents a year.

How will other players see our nameplates? Or is it just for yourself?

ScottGandhii: Great question! The player identification system is visible to everyone during the match and on your profile screen. We have additional plans for displaying the player's nameplate in the friends list and during the opening scene.

Will it be possible to exchange reputation points for R-bucks?

HiRezRadar: R-Bucks is a currency designed to be bought with real money, while reputation is earned in-game. Some things you can unlock for both currencies (for example, agents), but you cannot exchange one for the other.

Will we see rating mode before the end of the year?

HiRezRadar: The mode is listed on our current Roadmap, so you can expect it this year.

Are there any plans to release the Rogue Company API so people like me can make multiple bots? I really love this game and I also love making bots, so the arrival of the Rogue Company news bot will be amazing. Continue in the same spirit

HiRezBart: External Game Data APIs are what we offer in our other games and intend to offer at Rogue Company. Just a matter of time:)

Voice chat on Xbox is very moody. Are there any plans to make changes to it?

HiRezRadar: Thanks for bringing this up! We've seen issues related to voice chat functionality not only on Xbox One, but other platforms as well. We have fixed several recent bugs and are actively looking / fixing others.

When will text chat return to PC?

HiRezBart: We have no plans to bring back text chat. We will continue to improve the tagging system and voice commands, as well as refine the voice chat.

What is the reason for not implementing (or returning) text chat?

HiRezRadar: The removal of this feature actually happened two times. The main reason was that it didn't work the way we would like it to. This could lead to a number of bugs and sometimes lags, which made it less useful. We also looked at our data and even during optimal performance, very few people actually used it. With this in mind, we decided to focus on the features we consider to be of higher priority for the community.

Will there be a division of players according to the type of control in the ranked mode? The targeting system from Gears of War gives a strong advantage when playing with a controller on a PC

ScottGandhii: Our first version of the ranking system is largely considered a beta. We will test matchmaking as we are doing now.

How do you balance the two main modes (Destruction and Evacuation)? Have you noticed any agents that are significantly better in one mode than in another?

HiRezBart: Our balance is built around competitive play, and Destruction is the main mode. To understand how we do this, take a look at the Conquest and Arena modes in SMITE.

Ranked mode is great for people who like competitive games. But what are you planning to add for casuals? Should we expect more modes like Capture the Flag?

HirezScott: We continue to look for ways to improve both competitive play and additional modes we can develop for more casual matches. A number of regime ideas are under consideration, but at the moment we have nothing to talk about specifically.

We're also making some fun time-limited modes for this winter's events (smaller modes that break the mold for fun).

I would like to know what are you planning to do with the lore? The Dahlia launch cinematic was really cool, and I'd love to hear about how Vai got the poison gadgets, Talon's Rogue Company, and so on

HiRezRadar: Great question! Krett from our game design team, who is currently working on the narrative component, said: “We have a lot of lore prepared, but there are even more things that we are working on, so keep your eyes open. Although I can say that Talon is not a full member of the Rogue Company like other characters. Instead, he just has a long-term contract."

Why was rating mode delayed?

HiRezRadar: The rating system is a rather complex task that includes a lot of programming, user interface and requires serious testing. The team made the conscious decision to move this feature from Phase 2 to Phase 3 in order to offer a more complete and refined regime.

Will Glitch be enhanced? He is one of those agents for whom a place has not yet been prepared in competitive play! I think that his hacking radius needs to be increased, and the ability itself needs to be restored

HiRezRadar: Gl1tch is currently being studied by the game design team. In the next update, he will lose the Sixth Sense, but he will receive Perseverance. We think this is a big step in the right direction!

Will keyboard and mouse control return to consoles?

HiRezRadar: We've seen a few requests, and the team has it on the list! We want the feature to work well on all platforms, and as soon as it's finalized, we'll bring it back.
