What procedures from a beautician help to eliminate dryness, what home care is best to use and what remedies will save you from dryness on flights? BeautyHack Editor-in-Chief Karina Andreeva talks about her skin care secrets.
COSMETOLOGY
Yes, I am not a frequent visitor to a beautician (perhaps, at 22, this can hardly be a necessity, given the absence of obvious problems), but I still try to do moisturizing procedures every two to three months. I'll tell you about the one that I remember in particular.
In winter, I tried the treatment at Anastasia Reshetova's InHype Beauty Zone.
How was the procedure?
First, cosmetologist Yulia Malashonkova and I discussed my wishes and what effect I would like to see after. In winter, peeling occurs more often than usual, so my main wish was to eliminate dryness and restore a healthy look to the skin, and the absence of fatigue to the face. We started with cleansing - for this we used Ultra Hydrating Milk Cleanser from UltraCeuticals - I am familiar with the brand and I myself constantly use the legendary Ultra Moisturiser Cream (we talked about it here). Then I underwent a superficial ultrasonic cleaning with an apparatus - so as not to provoke peeling and to delicately clean the upper layers of the epidermis. An important point - the cosmetologist works not only with the face, but also with the décolleté area, and during the care process during a light lymphatic drainage massage, it touches the back a little too - they made it to me on the basis of Ultra Hydrating Lotion and Ultra Moisturiser Cream, also UltraCeuticals.
Then we proceeded to the nutritional care with a special Dermadrop TDA device. This is a technology that allows you to inject hyaluronic acid, vitamins, trace elements and amino acids into the deep layers of the skin without injections. Quite active currents of air pass through a thin tube and deliver the product into the skin - it does not hurt, but rather pleasant and ticklish in places. This is how the whole face is worked out. The final stage is a moisturizer with SPF 50 Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturizer. The cosmetologist applies it with massage movements. At the end of the procedure, you will be given advice on skin care. I really liked the care that I did: the wow-effect without unpleasant sensations, quite dexterously and quickly - with all the consultations it was done within an hour. There was no trace of peeling, the face looked fresh and rested after the first procedure. Nourished and moisturized skin - now no cold is terrible: delight!
SELF CARE
My main rules:
1) Make sure to wash off your makeup (even if you come back very late and incredibly tired).
2) Use a moisturizer in the morning before makeup instead of a primer.
3) Apply a creamy cream in the evening before going to bed as a mask.
4) In winter, use cold cream before jogging in the forest.
5) If the workout takes place in the morning and in the gym, do not apply any products (including caregivers), and then wipe the skin with micellar water and apply a moisturizer.
6) On flights, drink plenty of water, if possible, make masks or refresh the skin with thermal water / elixir.
7) Apply patches as needed, and apply eye cream under the concealer.
CLEANSING
Cleansing gel Cleananse, Avene
I choose cleansing according to the principle "which removes makeup faster and more effectively": when it comes to skin care, I am quite lazy. I don't have a multi-stage cleansing: my ideal is one product that will both remove makeup and just cleanse the skin.
I love Avene products for their composition: more than 50% of them consist of water from the Avene thermal spring in France. It was here that the first balneological resort was built in 1736. I have found everything I need in this transparent turquoise gel: it delicately dissolves even the most persistent makeup and cleanses the skin. On contact with water, it turns into a white foam. I like that I put it on and instantly remove all makeup from my face. Does not dry the skin, although it is intended more for the oily type. The manufacturer writes that there is no soap in the composition: the product does not sting the skin, even if I remove active makeup on the eyelids with it. DAILY CARE
Creams Moisture Surge and Dramatically Different, Clinique
These two remedies I call the real saviors of my dry skin. Dramatically Different (thicker in texture) is most often used in winter or as a night care, and the lighter Moisture Surge - in summer or as a makeup base.
Dramatically Different is a pale yellow gel, when applied to the skin, it seems oily, although no oils were found in the composition. Works on "5+" - copes with peeling and perfectly nourishes the skin. Very often I apply it in a greasy layer like a night mask: it is absorbed in 20 minutes, so you can not be afraid to stain your pillow. Contains sodium hyaluronate and glycerin for intense hydration. Skin is strengthened with sunflower seed oil, barley and cucumber extracts in the formula.
Moisture Surge is an excellent choice for moisturizing skin. It contains aloe water, which restores the skin's moisture barrier, while vitamins C, E and green tea provide a powerful antioxidant effect. It is absorbed in the first two minutes - after 15-20 you can already apply the foundation.

Intensive moisturizing gel Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, Clinique
For me, this novelty is a mix of the above two: less greasy than Dramatically Different, and more nutritious than Moisture Surge Cream. This is a gel that slightly cools the skin when applied, absorbs quickly and moisturizes perfectly - ideal in spring and summer. Contains activated aloe juice and caffeine. Very often I use the product even over makeup to remove peeling - it copes with them on the "five".

Night mask Drink Up Intensitive Overnight Mask, Origins
Last summer, the legendary organic cosmetics brand Origins came to the Russian market (we talked about why this is great news here). The creator of the brand is William Lauder, the grandson of Este Lauder. Since its inception on the global market, Origins has established itself as a brand specializing in natural cosmetics and traditional recipes. In addition, the latest technologies and scientific trends are used in the formulas of the products.
One of the first brand products I tested was the Drink Up Intensitive Overnight Mask. Cream of pale yellow color with a herbaceous aroma is very rich in texture, but absorbed in 10 minutes. I apply the mask in a greasy layer on the skin before going to bed (to wake up with radiant and rested skin in the morning) or use it at the very beginning of the day if I plan to do active makeup in the evening on the way out and want to sufficiently moisturize the skin. When you open the lid, you see a cream that looks like an ice cream. It is oily - you need to wait 5-10 minutes to be absorbed. This winter, I ran 5 km in the forest almost every morning. Cold cream saved from cold and light frostbite. The bestseller of the French brand Avène is not in vain called the sos-tool: it nourishes and smoothes the skin, instantly eliminating flaking and protecting it from the aggressive external environment.
It copes with the discomfort and burning sensation after a walk or jogging in the cold with a bang - and all thanks to the composition rich in natural oils and the invariable thermal water Avène.

The legendary "water of beauty" turns 20 this year. In 1997, the creator of the brand, Matilda Thoma, discovered the legendary recipe for the herbal elixir of youth, invented for the Queen of Hungary in the 16th century. First Matilda created a remedy for herself. Then she improved it with a modern composition that combines a soothing thermal mist, an essence saturated with active ingredients (this is used in Asia before serum) and an extract from flowers with useful properties. The result is a hybrid product that is easy to spray, can freshen complexion, set makeup, and easily blend into everyday skin care.
This is one of actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's favorites - she calls it “the spa at hand”. I remember how I tried the remedy for the first time: I was so struck by the fresh aroma when spraying the haze that I no longer thought about how it would “work” - for one effect of “aromatherapy” this water can be given a solid five. Jet Super Hydrating Mask Kit, double dare
On my last business trip during the flight, I tried a two-component complex of masks with a softening effect Jet Super Hydrating Mask Kit of the Korean brand double dare, or, more simply, a real cure for bruises under the eyes, "gray" complexion and swelling. In 99% of cases, I choose the earliest flights, so I can't sleep.
And on trips, you want to look better than at home so that you can immediately start taking photos and selfies upon arrival.
So, my find consists of two parts - a cleansing cloth and a softening mask. A wipe with aloe, green tea and AHA acids exfoliates and refreshes the skin - you need to rub it thoroughly with it.
Then put on the mask and leave it on for 15-30 minutes.
There is no need to rinse off the remnants of the product after use - just spread it with massaging movements on the skin.
The mask is infused with a complex of squalane, lecithin, NP ceramide and powerful antioxidants (cactus and rosehip extracts).
This super-set replaced my favorite patches (bruises and bags under the eyes disappeared in half an hour), the skin became radiant and moisturized, the complexion became healthy (the effect of #You've been sleeping this week disappeared instantly).

Suitable for all skin types, but especially recommended for those with sensitive skin.

I always prefer a good moisturizer to the best primer in the world - my skin is dry and prone to flaking. Tulasara Renew Morning Crème really awakens: you open the lid, you hear the scent of herbs and seem to be transported into the morning forest. The cream itself in the jar resembles caramel yogurt. Despite the nutritional properties, it is very light in texture, more like a gel. I apply it every morning before makeup, let it soak in for 5-10 minutes and distribute the foundation. After the cream, it does not roll, but lays down in an even layer.
On days when no makeup is needed, I massage the cream onto my skin, paint my lips with tint, eyelashes with mascara, and my nude makeup is ready. The face looks healthy, rested and radiant without highlighter or bronzer. Skin tone is smoothed out with licorice root extract, while organic ginger extract works as a powerful antioxidant. The composition also contains molasses extract (reduces age spots), rosemary extract and vitamin E from sunflower (helps neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals). Volcasmic Moisturizing Cream has a texture similar to a balm, which turns into an oily emulsion on the skin. The main characters of the list of ingredients are minerals of volcanic origin, cherry tomato leaves and mysterious wolfberry.
