Natalya Manturova, chief freelance specialist, plastic surgeon of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, said that the tightening of requirements for plastic surgery clinics is bringing a positive effect, writes News.ru.
According to the expert, after the inspections and the beginning of the increased requirements for the provision of medical care in the profile of "plastic surgery", a large number of clinics had their licenses revoked, which had a positive impact on the safety of medical activities.
“The clinics that were able to comply with the order are large institutions containing a large number of departments and specialists who are fully responsible for their patients,” Manturova explained.
She noted that in Russia the number of complications during plastic surgery has significantly decreased, as patients have become more protected, and the clinics that remain on the market have a higher level of safety and medical care.
