One of the main trends in modern perfumery is the so-called layering: when you mix several scents on the skin, creating a composition of your own authorship - according to your own mood. The French brand Solinotes has been lairing since 2010 - during this time, 13 fragrances have appeared in the brand's line, which cover most of the perfumery spectrum, from floral and fruity to gourmet notes.

Each Solinotes fragrance is built around one, the main chord, but all are combined with each other, and what is better, the packaging with the “halves” of the bottle will tell you: to the left you need to choose the right one.

Due to the fact that the company, unlike luxury brands, does not invest in advertising and marketing, its fragrances are inexpensive - only 945 rubles for a 50 ml bottle: it turns out that you can create your own recognizable fragrance at a price below two thousand rubles.

BeautyHack editor Anastasia Speranskaya, blogger Olga Sharova and perfume critic Ksenia Golovanova tested the Solinotes fragrances and created their own compositions:

“The commercial success of the brand is obvious - all the fragrances can be bought separately at a very affordable price, but it's hard to stop. I would like to purchase the entire collection, gradually collecting, like well-known charms for a bracelet.

But this affordable price does not affect the quality; individually, each mono-fragrance is an excellent option for a perfume for every day. Yes, just for everyday life - when you don't want a complicated pyramid, unexpected notes at the end of the day and a "heavy" trail. Solinotes in this regard are very light and unobtrusive - you can smell warm and sweet vanilla all day, and in the evening add a musky note (very similar to the aroma of ironed linen) and make the composition more sensual.

By the way, I liked the "salt-note" called Musc the most - it is good in itself, and acts as an excellent base for the subsequent addition of other notes.

I did not limit myself to the proposed combinations and came up with my own - complex and multi-layered, like a Napoleon cake. First, I combined Musc and exotic Tiare to create a warm coconut-milk aroma. I applied both on the neck - they have woody notes in their base, which means that they will be the most persistent. I added a cherry candy to the folds of the elbows - Fleur de Cerisier, a mix of lemon, tangerine, cherry, raspberry and apple. The composition became "louder", and after I added the final note - Fleur de Frangipanier - on my hands, the fragrance became very sensual, almost intoxicating.

The last two notes instantly made the warm viscous musky-floral tandem very fresh - the scent reminded of a sip of freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. I behaved with dignity - the citrus notes from Fleur de Frangipanier were the first to "leave" me, but I myself wanted to add a musky note in the evening. Fortunately, it was more than convenient to do this - all Solinotes are sold in small bottles that fit easily into even the smallest handbag."

“We all love fragrances, but not everyone is capable of becoming a perfumer. In fact, new brands give us new opportunities in the art of perfumery. The Solinotes brand appeared on the Russian market not so long ago, but thanks to an interesting concept, it attracted my attention among other bottles in the Ile de Beaute chain.

You don't need to travel to Grasse to mix the ingredients and get the flavor you want. The Solinotes packaging speaks for itself!

The first thing I did was pick up the "Fig". And I added "character" to him with the help of "Musk". It turned out to be an ideal option for every day in the office - politically correct and unusual. What inspired me? For three to four thousand rubles, I can create a composition that only I will wear.

Individuality is a trend today. And Solinotes clearly demonstrates this in the literal sense. And if you do not know what to give to a loved one, give him the opportunity to … create”!

“The fragrances of Solinotes are the so-called soliflora. So far, most dictionaries know only one meaning of this word - "a small vase with a narrow neck, designed for a single flower." But gradually another thing comes into the verbal use - a perfume composition, whose sound is built around one, the main note.

Still, the composition: here, too, Fleur d'Iris is not just an iris, but a collage on the theme of iris - with notes of green grass and spring freshness, Pomegranate is a whole fruit complex with wild berries that gives out a rather authentic pomegranate on the skin, and Pomelo - sweet and sour citrus with good grapefruit bitterness and watery melon nuance.

Of the entire Solinotes line, Iris and Pomelo I liked the most, and they give enough room for maneuvering with different combinations: if you mix one with the other and add a background of Musk, you get a fresh fruity iris with drops of water - like as if you just turned on the sprinkler in your garden. And to take Pomelo into the fruit theme, take the cute Blackberry or Cherry Blossom and do something fun in the spirit of the early summer Escada Limits.
