Police materials about the beating of a minor child by a relative were transferred to the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee in the Ryazan Region, the press service of the department reported on January 20. The progress of the check was taken under control by the head of the Investigative Department.
An investigation into the fact that parents did not properly fulfill their responsibilities for raising children was started by the police after two boys aged six months and one year nine months from the city of Rybnoye were brought to the Ryazan Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. Doctors recorded signs of beatings on the oldest of the children. Taking into account the public outcry and in order to thoroughly clarify all the circumstances of the incident, the materials of the check were transferred to the Investigative Committee. Investigators began questioning relatives and witnesses, representatives of the guardianship authorities, and the necessary medical documentation of the children was seized.
As reported by IA REGNUM, the children were removed from the house where they lived with their 21-year-old mother and 47-year-old grandfather in unsanitary conditions. A man in a state of alcoholic intoxication beat a boy.
