On Wednesday, January 13, Governor Ivan Belozertsev once again announced his readiness to be vaccinated against coronavirus.
The day before, a post appeared on his Instagram account about the opening of COVID-19 vaccination points in every district of the region and local hospitals. Some subscribers were skeptical about this information.
“Who tested and tested it (the vaccine. - Ed.)? Where will this vaccination lead us in the future? - asked one of the users.
“I am ready to personally test for myself if there are no antibodies after an illness. If there are antibodies, this is a contraindication,”replied Ivan Belozertsev, adding that more than a thousand people in the region have already been vaccinated. According to him, first of all, groups of special risk are vaccinated, then everyone who wants to.
“Yes, please check. Just invite people activists to record it. Otherwise, you can inject anything in words,”said another commentator.
The fact that Ivan Belozertsev caught the coronavirus became known on November 4. As he said on social networks, the disease was mild. His assistants were also sent to isolation due to possible infection. Later, the governor admitted that it is not easy to work remotely, clarified that his wife also caught the infection.
On January 11, at a meeting in the regional government, he said: “I personally wanted to get (vaccination against coronavirus. - Ed.), But did not have time, I got sick. In our government, only Viktor Nikolaevich Kuvaitsev took root."
