Last year, NIVEA launched the CARE BEYOND SKIN program, which aims to support the fight against COVID-19 around the world. As part of the program, Beiersdorf has allocated 50 million euros to fight the virus and provided financial support to medical institutions.
Until the end of February 2021, NIVEA, together with the Garant Center for Social Technologies, will provide 23 ventilators for 17 Russian hospitals in such regions as Chelyabinsk, Arkhangelsk, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Rostov, Tula, Kaluga regions, Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Dagestan. At the moment, ventilators have already been installed in the Chelyabinsk Region and the First City Hospital of Arkhangelsk.
"We are very pleased that thanks to NIVEA and the Garant center we have received such a wonderful gift - a ventilator, which is a key piece of equipment during a pandemic of a new coronavirus infection. The device will be installed in the intensive care unit of the Regional Vascular Center," said the chief doctor of the First City Clinical Hospital Sergei Valentinovich Krasilnikov.
