Researchers at the University of Abertey in Scotland found that women with bright makeup are rarely seen as leaders. Psychologists have concluded that leaders should look natural, according to Journals.

Participants in the study were shown 16 pairs of photographs in which the same girls were captured with different amounts of makeup on their faces. On some photos, there was almost no make-up, on others the fair sex was in full dress.

The male subjects were asked to choose the one of two portraits that better emphasized leadership qualities. It turned out that in most cases, the participants in the experiment chose women who looked natural.

However, notes one of the authors of the project, Dr. Christopher Watkins, previous studies have shown that cosmetics enhance the dominance of women.

Watkins writes that while good-looking women are highly respected and respected by the community, this does not mean that they are beginning to be seen as leaders.
