Everyone knows that fashion is cyclical. What trends will again delight us in the new year, what should be abandoned, and what to look for - we will tell you in our review.

Bright colors

In the top five hits of the next year, the Pantone Institute included yellow (Primrose Yellow), pink (Pink Yarrow), green (Greenery), orange (Flame) and blue (Lapis Blue). Each of them has already met us at the spring shows, but the catch is that the designers, obviously, conspired and decided to dress us in torn-eyed shades from head to toe. Effective? Yes! Practical? Not always.

It will be possible to create a one-color total look already in January, when new collections appear. But before tackling luscious colors, practice on deep - like amber, emerald and ultramarine, and pastel - powdery, sky blue and gray shades.

Cutouts and slits

We have already written about why it is dangerous to wear slits and cutouts at the same time. However, preparing for 2017, the designers found a way out and harmoniously combined them in one outfit. Small cuts and cutouts are now found on dresses, jackets, jeans (of course) and even knitted tops. You can start wearing them right now, the main thing is that the outerwear is warm and covers naked parts of the body from wind and frost.

Flowers

The flower theme has been afloat for several years and is not going to give up its positions. At the same time, designers manage to invent new prints and appliques, which amazes us immensely. In the new year, pay attention to small prints and large abstract designs. Combine the former with plain coats, wide belts and smooth leather bags, and the latter with bright lipstick and patent leather shoes.

Mini

It would seem that there is nowhere to be shorter, but the length of the mini has decreased by another couple of centimeters. But do not worry about your reputation - the designers have foreseen everything and supplied the micro-skirts with micro-shorts. In practice, it is not at all necessary to follow the lead of fashion, it is enough to choose the length just above the knee, and the shape and color can be whatever you like.

Stripes

This trend is also far from new, the only difference from previous years is that now we can observe horizontal stripes on knitted dresses. Perhaps, with these outfits it is worth waiting until spring, and striped blouses and shirts in winter will come in handy. Just remember that horizontal stripes can do a disservice by visually expanding your figure.

Pleating

The sudden appearance of pleating on the catwalks caused a storm of emotions. Fortunately, only positive ones. This time, no long skirts in pastel shades, just graphics and minimalism. And thanks to sophisticated combinations with shirts, leggings, sweaters and micro tops, pleating becomes part of the everyday look even in the cold season.

Ruches

Last summer we bought ourselves a bunch of cute, Victorian-inspired dresses with ruffles and frills, and we paid off. In the new year, this trend will become even more distinct and free. If you can't wait to match it, then choose closed options, like Gucci and Valentino - perfect for winter.

Fringe

This is no longer the fringe that reigned on the catwalks of the 70s, now it has become much more restrained. Her straight cuts could be seen at spring shows all the time: the elegant Hermès - on tops, the stylish Trussardi and the brutal Givenchy - on wrap-around dresses and skirts, and the daring Coach - on leather coats. Start introducing fringed clothes into your wardrobe right now - they will playfully dilute the familiar look and give it a dynamic that is so often lacking in winter.
