The event was attended by the governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit, representatives of political parties, public associations and youth organizations.
The ceremony participants honored the memory of the fallen soldiers with a minute of silence and laid wreaths and flowers at the Eternal Flame, at the grave of Mikhail Bulatov, Hero of the Soviet Union.
“It seems to me very correct that we begin to celebrate this day, remembering the heroes who defended our country. Laying wreaths and flowers at the Eternal Flame is a good tradition.
