Residents of the Kelbajar region in the north-east of Nagorno-Karabakh, which came under the control of Azerbaijan, leave their homes and take everything with them: from roofing iron to the dead. This was reported by the correspondent of the Daily Storm Anton Starkov. Residents fear that Azerbaijanis may desecrate the graves, so they try to take the remains of their relatives or at least gravestones with them.

The photographs from the Kelbajar region show deserted dilapidated residential buildings with the words “Welcome to Artsakh, bastards” in English and dug graves.

On November 15, the head of the International Military Cooperation Department of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, Major General Huseyn Mahmudov, said that “there were no provocations” when the Armenian Armed Forces and civilians left the Kalbajar region. "We do not interfere in the process of liberation of the region"- he added. Aide to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev also said that Baku gave Armenia an additional 10 days to withdraw the armed forces and civilians from the Kalbajar region.

According to the trilateral agreement between Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia, the Kelbajar, Lachin and Aghdam regions of the unrecognized republic of Nagorno-Karabakh are transferred under the control of Baku.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed an agreement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh on November 9. The document also provides for the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in the region. They will control the entire contact line and the Lachin corridor. The Armenian military must leave the unrecognized republic.

The main contingent of the Russian peacekeeping forces was made up of units of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District. Observation posts are located along the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor, which connects Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia. Peacekeepers monitor the situation around the clock.
