ovish to the touch skin is like an aphrodisiac, you want to touch it. Many people believe that with age, the skin fades and this is an inevitable process. That's right, but we can prolong the youthfulness of our skin with improvised means (the main thing is not to miss the moment and start on time). In the era of universal zozhification, many have a card for a fitness club, which probably has a Russian bath or a Finnish sauna. Stock up on beauty assistants and head to the spa.

Shouldn't you go to the bathhouse?

Before plunging into the whirlpool, or rather to go shopping and to the sauna, let's discuss what it will give us and whether it is possible for everyone (let's just say - not for everyone).

The Finnish sauna (namely, it is most often present in fitness clubs) is a dry bath with dry hot air. The temperature here is usually 70-100 degrees with a humidity of only 5-20% (while in a steam bath the temperature is from 40 to 60-70 degrees, and the relative humidity reaches 80-90%). What does it mean?

Dry heated air in a Finnish sauna evenly warms up the body until sweating, only after that the process of moisture evaporation from the skin takes place, which protects against overheating. An important nuance: before the sauna, you must take a shower and dry yourself well with a towel to avoid scalding. But in the bath, moisture from the skin does not evaporate and the body warms up well inside.

the effect of steam opens the pores, from which all the dirt, dead scales are removed, the skin is renewed. It is recommended to alternate bathing with showering (wash off the sweat) and swimming in the pool, such approaches have a positive effect on blood circulation and make the skin more elastic and elastic.

Is it possible for everyone to visit the bathhouse or sauna?

there are contraindications, so it is better to consult a doctor. Who is definitely not allowed here: people with high blood pressure (especially with the third stage of hypertension), thrombophlebitis and venous insufficiency, atherosclerosis, heart disease and acute inflammation of the cardiovascular system, skin diseases, diabetes mellitus, as well as those who have a tendency to bleeding … Also, the bath is contraindicated during colds, on an empty stomach, or, conversely, after a hearty meal with a glass of wine.

Beauty assistants for perfect results

We sort of figured out the materiel, let's move on to practice. Those who already visit the sauna and bathhouse have managed to develop their own beauty rituals. We adopt their experience.

Take a shower before going to the steam room. This will allow the skin to get used to the heat. If you go to the bathhouse, then you don't have to wipe dry, but you must go to the sauna, otherwise you can burn yourself with dry air. First, go to the steam room with dry skin (you need to wash off the makeup, and hide your hair under a special hat or towel, do not apply any scrubs) and just steam for several minutes on different shelves, starting from the bottom. Three to four minutes is enough to warm up the skin the first time. On the second call, you can stay longer (determine by how you feel).

But after the third, when the skin is sufficiently steamed and the pores open, the skin is ready for active cleansing and nourishment, and you can apply special scrubs or peels. Pay attention to the composition: the more natural ingredients, the better. If in the bath, then the funds can be applied right there (only in the baths of fitness clubs this is prohibited, be careful), but it is not recommended to apply them in the sauna - leave the room and apply afterwards, and then wash off the composition in the shower.

Many people recommend making such products yourself: for example, mixing salt with honey or applying coffee grounds. We decided not to guess, but to ask an expert for advice and a proven recipe.

Anastasia Volkova, brand manager of Natura Siberica spas:

- A trip to the bathhouse or sauna can be independently turned into a real royal spa treatment. After several visits to the steam room, apply the scrub all over the body. For example, in the natural scrub Natura Siberica natural particles of sugar, salt or ground pine nut shells act as an abrasive, which effectively exfoliate dead skin cells, promote active skin renewal and give it a healthy look. And natural vegetable oils take on the task of moisturizing and nourishing, restoring the protective functions of the skin, saturating it with the components necessary for health and regeneration, and giving it a natural glow.

You can prepare such a scrub yourself - just like we do it in our spas, where technologists, before your eyes, mix valuable natural ingredients from Siberia into fresh, aromatic and effective spa treatments.

Stir in a handful of wild berries, freshly squeezed cedar nut oil and medium-ground sea salt (available at organic beauty stores), apply to body, work each area thoroughly, and rinse with warm water. Your skin will become smooth and soft."

There remains only the last stage - to apply cream to the skin, and it will be like velvet.
