A study conducted by American sociologists has shown that makeup helps women get better-paying jobs. This is reported by Metro.
Experts Jaclyn Wong and Andrew Penner surveyed more than 14,000 people to determine the relationship between appearance and salary. It turned out that women who look after themselves earn significantly more than those who do not pay due attention to their appearance.
To the surprise of sociologists, this pattern also applies to men: salaries of well-groomed employees are also higher.
Penner and Wong suggest that grooming may be telling an employer about a person's self-discipline. People who are willing to spend more time looking around in the morning are more organized and responsible.
