Many women and men undergo plastic surgery to become more self-confident, but, unfortunately, sometimes, instead of improving, they get a completely opposite effect. So, in one of the episodes of the Botched TV show, which aired on the E! experts have analyzed 7 cases when something went wrong. The British online portal Daily Star became interested in the story. The first case, which amazed doctors, happened with the American Crystal Coombs, who, at the age of 9, was attacked by an aggressive pit bull. The dog pulled a piece of skin from her cheekbone, the girl needed a transplant. Doctors decided to transplant skin from her pubis onto her face. And while this helped her hide the dog bite marks, there was an unexpected side effect. The girl admitted that hair began to grow on the transplanted skin flap. This made Crystal shy and insecure. Fortunately, the program's surgeons were able to remedy the situation by replacing the graft.

Former dancer Courtney Barnes was also unlucky. A 35-year-old woman decided to enlarge her butt, for which she resorted to injections that were not approved by the medical community. As a result of the illegal procedure, her fifth point began to look loose, transformed and sagged. She begged the surgeons to do at least something to return everything "as it was." However, doctors are confident that this will be problematic. The only option they could offer her was the amputation of the back tissue. According to experts, "the filler masses are located so superficially that it is impossible to completely remove them without tissue amputation." Courtney rejected their offer, and doctors are now trying to come up with an alternative solution.

Injections to correct the shape of the lips can be no less dangerous. A 20-year-old Briton named Henry said that he always dreamed of plumper lips, for which he regularly did contouring, but his obsession at some point got out of control: “Fillers have become my life. I really liked the effect of them, until my lips exploded with pus due to an unsuccessful procedure during which an infection was brought in. Pus mixed with blood flowed from his upper lip, the guy was afraid that the tissue would have to be amputated. He sought medical attention, and the surgeon performed an emergency operation, during which he removed the fillers and sutured the lip.

No less well-known is the story of "living Ken" Rodrigo Alves, who in total underwent about 800 plastic surgeries, and only rhinoplasty in his biography was at least 11. Because of this, his nose began to sink in and he had trouble breathing. The young man admits that he is afraid to have another plastic surgery to fix everything, because there is a risk that it will get worse. And Indian woman Raji Narinesingh became the owner of a "stone" face after injecting illegal filler into her cheeks, chin and lips in 2005. The swindler doctor used fillers containing substances such as superglue, almond oil and tire sealant, which resulted in lumps and bumps on Raja's face, from which green pus oozed from time to time. And with this problem the woman was forced to live for 15 years. Fortunately, doctors agreed to perform surgery on her and removed pieces of dead tissue from her face.

The young man Albert Neela was born with a congenital genetic defect, due to which one of his pectoral muscles developed faster than the other, this was very embarrassing for him. Growing up, he began to explore the possibility of mammoplasty. He decided to have the operation in Mexico, since the cost of the operation there was lower, but the desire to save money almost cost Albert his life. The American got an infection and developed sepsis. At home, the young man urgently removed the implant.

And another case that amazed experts was associated with the desire of 30-year-old Keara to acquire lips like Angelina Jolie. She even persuaded her mother to pay for her contouring. However, the filler injected into the woman's upper lip behaved in an unexpected way. She recalled: “The nurse suggested that I only enlarge my upper lip, so she injected 1 ml of silicone into it. For 3 years, it seemed to swell, and the lip became simply huge on the sides and deformed. Doctors diagnosed Keara with a granuloma, which grew in response to a foreign body entering the body, and were able to fix everything that made the girl much happier.
