Catherine's breasts were removed. She underwent 12 sessions of chemotherapy and radiation. Now she has a disability. A woman cannot work. Throughout the year, the woman was with her husband and three children. She is currently dealing with health and family.

Ekaterina spent the whole summer in the hospital. Now she takes hormones by the hour, gives injections and undergoes an ultrasound scan every month and regularly visits a doctor.

“On my last visit to the hospital, the doctor said that I was healthy, but I still have no right to relax - the path to recovery is too difficult,” Ekaterina shared.

Up to 94% of all cases of breast cancer can be cured if the diagnosis is made at an early stage, when the tumor is still invisible to the patient and the doctor. It can be determined using ultrasound and mammography.

As the press service of the Ishim OB 4 told IA "Ural Meridian", from January to September of this year, after undergoing mammography, breast cancer was found in 12 women in the hospital. 615 patients are registered with this diagnosis.

Many people think that breast cancer is a disease of older women, but unfortunately it is not. According to statistics, the average age of patients with this diagnosis is 32 years old, cancer is often found in 20-year-old girls. It is in young patients that oncological diseases develop rapidly and leave little chance for cure from the moment of diagnosis.

After 40 years, all women need to have mammograms twice a year. Women of all ages need to self-check regularly. If you find any new lumps, lumps, spots in your breasts, or if you notice discharge from the nipple, you need to see a doctor immediately.
