In Yekaterinburg, on the night of November 7, three people were shot dead, according to the regional department of the Investigative Committee (IC). According to the agency, the shooter turned out to be the owner of the apartment, who first invited the victims "to a party." The owner was also found dead - according to the investigation, he committed suicide. Also, during the shooting, one girl was injured, she was hospitalized in serious condition.

"On the night of November 7, 2020, the law enforcement agencies of the Ordzhonikidze district of Yekaterinburg received a message about the discovery of the bodies of four people with signs of gunshot wounds in an apartment on the 5th floor of a house on Socialist Street.", - reported in the TFR

As the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region Valery Gorelykh specified, two men (born in 1984 and 1988) and one girl born in 2002 were killed. All the victims were shot with a Saiga carbine, for which the owner of the house had a permit. The owner's body (born 1986) was also found in the house. "According to the version in question, the landlord fired shots at the citizens who were visiting him, after which he took his own life.", - added in the press service of the TFR (quote from the portal 66.ru).

Also, during the shooting, one 17-year-old girl was injured, she was hospitalized in serious condition. According to the TFR, she was operated on and is in intensive care in a serious condition. Another 16-year-old girl was also found unharmed at the crime scene.

Gorelykh clarified that the owner of the apartment worked in a private security company, had previously been conditionally tried for theft. According to the agency, he and two of his comrades met the girls via the Internet, drove to pick them up and went to the shooter's apartment "for a party." The reasons for the shooting are still unknown.

On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under clause "a" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of two or more persons"). The investigation began to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
