A new General Electric Optima CT machine for 32 slices worth more than 30 million rubles has appeared in the vascular department of the Gorshechenskiy regional hospital. As told in the regional administration, the tomograph was acquired within the framework of the regional program "Fight against cardiovascular diseases"
The device has already been tested. Andrei Belostotsky, Deputy Governor of the Kursk Region, visited the Gorshechenskaya Central Regional Hospital:
“The apparatus has not been here for over a year. The previous one was out of order, and the doctors had a hard time - they had to establish a diagnosis based only on the clinical picture of the disease. In the near future, we will commission another modern device - in the oncology center, it will be the most powerful for CT in the region. The old tomograph that was there is still in good condition. We will transfer it to the Soviet Central District Hospital. The district businessmen are now helping the hospital with the installation of the module."
Every year, about 700 patients turn to the primary vascular department of the Gorshechny hospital. It serves the population of six more districts of the region - Kastorensky, Sovetsky, Timsky, Manturovsky, Cheremisinovsky and Shchigrovsky.
